Most experienced reefkeepers have an endless supply of stories about expensive and
avoidable mistakes. Learning as much as you can from as many different people as you can helps you to avoid these mistakes!
Reefkeeping, like so many other hobbies, is part science and part art. Different
people use different methods, and there isn't always a "right way" and a "wrong way" to do something. Hearing from several
people's points of view helps you to make the most informed decisions possible for your system.
In addition to our monthly meetings, we're constantly running into each other at
fish stores. Isn't it fun to know all of the store owners/employees by name??
We meet up for dinner/cookouts on occasion, and help each other out every chance
we can get.
